Hi everyone this is my first post and I'm hoping I can get some information and tips on what the best upgrades to start with to give my Mondeo XR5 Turbo a bit more power. I dont want to build a race car or anything ridiculous but I want to give it a good boost in power as it is stock. I am pretty much a newb when it comes to cars but I have a little bit of knowledge and want to learn if anyone is willing to help. Also wondering where I can purchase whatever parts I need to get online if possible. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for your reply. To be honest I dont really have a target number of hp or kw I'm looking for but I definitely want to add more than what it has stock. I'm more than happy to hear suggestions of how much to add. I definitely want a better exhaust note and I've been told a 3" turbo back exhaust will most likely be satisfying. Again, I am at the very beginning of my quest to gain automotive knowledge so bear with me haha

Good advice from sailaway, however, I have found Superchips (based in Melbourne) retune to be reliable and effective on my Mondeo MD Diesel.
They do have a tune for the XR5 and I have included a link to their site in this message: https://www.superchips.com.au/ford-f...une-remap.html |

Thanks for the link. Is that something I can add before doing any mechanical upgrades?

Speak to Jamie. Tell him Dallas sent you. Thank me later. He is the absolute wiz with euro Fords. In particular the 5 cylinder turbo. If you have Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/xr5stoc/?ref=share

Hi guys can anyone tell me what would be the best turbo to get after a stage 1 blue fin tune and PWR intercooler. Looking for something that bolts straight on hopefully but willing to do the work if not. Any info would be great
