here is the new proposal that andra has for LS1 group two comp
note the ford stuff down the bottom Super Stock – New Class, N/Super Stock or D/Modified Sedan: A new class is proposed to accommodate the LS1 V8 engine, now commonly available in Australia. Apart from the following, regulations for existing lower Super Stock classes will apply. Body: VT on Commodore or derivative only. Modifications altering the contour of the body are not permitted. Original grille must be retained, but may be covered from behind to prevent air from passing through. Full stock headlights and tail lights must be retained, but need not be operative. The replacement of panels with fibreglass, aluminium or other materials is not permitted. Floor may be reconstructed from rearward of the rearmost point of the front door, in steel of the same gauge as original. Front floor/transmission tunnel must be retained. Minor clearancing permitted for transmission clearance. Class Index: Initial class index of 9.90 seconds with a National Record minimum or 9.40 seconds. Engine: V8 LS1 engine with maximum capacity of 358 cubic inches using LS1 block and head castings with original configuration (valve location and angle etc.) Cylinder heads may not be welded apart from genuine repairs in two areas per casting only. Solid roller camshaft permitted Chassis: Stock automobile frame for car body used must be retained forward of the rearmost point of the front door except inner front wheel arch area may be clearanced to accommodate industry standard front tyres up to 26 inches (660 mm) in diameter. Chassis maybe reconstructed rearward of the rearmost point of the front door. A maximum of two front to rear frame strengthening members may be added and may be up to 50mm (2 inch) x 75mm (3 inch) material running longitudinally between the front and rear sub frame. Material passing through the floor must be fully welded. Induction: Single four barrel carburettor (non Dominator) or single throttle body inlet with electronic management permitted. Inlet area to be specified by ANDRA. Cast aluminium mass produced manifolds permitted. Must be non tunnel ram type where carburettor is used. Fuel injection manifolds must retain the OEM configuration. Electronic fuel injection must use ECU specified by ANDRA, which will be subject to checks or exchange at any time. Transmission: Two speed Powerglide transmission using torque converter must be used. OEM case mandatory. Trans brake permitted. Weightbreak: 9.4 lbs/cubic inch (260.2 kg/litre) Provision for a Ford based class, which would require concessions to achieve parity with engine capacity, would be considered once the class was established |

It is still needed for the forum, just a hard thing to get concenus on Nominate your classes, dont forget to cater for a class similar to the above in outlaw or pro street and then the members nominate for there own class. Still maintain a forum list though |
