Hey guys just wondering what would be better auto or manual in a ef 6.
Should i go shift kit stally or 5speed, i like both so i am unsure which would be quicker, And what sorta money am i looking at? |

5 speed is quicker and will have more power simple.
You have to decide do you want the 3rd pedal or not, thats all.

Yeah love that 3rd pedal bit more fun, but i heard putn the pedal box i was a huge headache

I like having the auto personally Craig, but must admit having a little drive of Drew's manual was a bit alright too
 You have to decide if you want to be changing gears in traffic or being a lazy driver (like me) and let the car work out what gear its supposed to be in  :

who says a 5 speed is quicker...well on paper it should be
more chance for driver error tho...ie boggy start...missing a gear...just plain lack of skills etc etc |

Properly set up autos are definately quicker straight line.
Manuals give better ratio choices for varying conditions, obviously. Better fuel economy. Just choose what suits you. |

I was an avid fan of the ford 5speed, and love driving manuals...
However the way the traffic is getting, I'm seriously considering beefing up the old auto... Apparently they are mad to drive with shiftkit+stallie+cam... power I agree with the manual, but as far as speed goes I'd bet that the auto would be quicker...

depends what sort of driving you are after. I chose a manual because i take mine down the strip AND to the track aswell. If i was after a drag car i would take the auto with a histall and shift kit.

Gozza stall a waste of time on street.. I doubt it. Caspers car for example has a 3000rpm stall and you wouldnt even know its got a stally until you sink ya boot into it.
Manual being faster.. yeah generally its true.. stock for stock. But If I wanted to get a car off the line hard and fast consistantly I'd get a auto with stally. |

Just get a B&M hammer shifter, stallie and do what stalone did in the movie Cobra and drop it back to first when you have to chase someone :P j/k
Id be leaning towards auto really, manuals are great for a quick increase of takeoff but with work an auto can be matched in the acceleration
