Default Good mechanic in Sydney

Are there good places that do mechanical work on Falcons, with quick service and low rates, perhaps a place that does a lot of taxis? My prior experience in Melbourne with Ford dealerships and big-name service centres is that they are a rip-off and don't know what they are doing, but the taxi mechanics were spot on and about 1/4 the price.

I'll pm you the guy I use for the run around hack in the morning. Top bloke who doesn't charge an arm and a leg for basic maintenance.

The Budget petrol servo in Petersham (208 New Canterbury RD) are good no BS mechanics. They do heaps of taxis so know the falcon inside and out. Very quick too. Did a heap of work on my old AU (clutch, exhaust, power steer etc) Just started taking the FG there now it's out of warranty.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to dig up an old thread from April, but I too am looking for a good, reliable mechanic in Sydney (Inner West) for a major service on my G6E.

Interested to hear how Mafia went? and will obviously be keeping in mind budget in petersham.

Anyone have any recommendations they wouldn't mind sharing?

Cheers.

i'm also looking for one! anywhere around inner west or up near Epping area. i used to use a guy in greenacre that did taxi transmissions (Impact Transmission in Greenacre) but he was way too busy and i always ended up waiting after he had had the car for a full day

If you want a good deal from someone who WON'T BS to you, you could do much worse than to phone a bloke named Danny @ Miles Mechanical in Merrylands. He and the team at Miles are good blokes who do the job as it is supposed to be done.

There are no 3rd year apprentices working on your car or a bloke who looks like he needed new overalls about 5 years ago. They do tyres as well and a wicked wheel alignment.

hi guys sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm in the same situation and just wondering if anybody had any recommendations that were current as of 2021? I'm driving my FGMKII Ecoboost for Uber and I'd prefer to take it to someone who knew their way around the falcon Taxis
