Leds Floor Lights

Im havin abit trouble, ive wired up the leds for the floor in the front and it works but dosent completly switch off, its very dull and should shut off cover its not ground?
Just wana find out how i can fix this

Have you wired the LEDs directly to a power source, or to an ignition feed?

If wired to an ignition feed, such as a ciggy lighter's power wire, then they should switch off once the car is off.

I tryd it 2 glove box and followed the cabin light wire near fuse box aswell both same results

so where is it wired off, usually best place to wire off is lighter

if its glove box, will only work when its open

Power wire goin 2 glove box sorry its constant power that what gets me ?
then grounded through door switch, but using test light on switch turns the globe off and led light but then u take test light of ciruit and it lights up dule

I think that s where you went wrong, the glovebox light comes on any time you open it, even when ignition is off, you need to wire it from a wire that has power all the time the ignition is on and no power when its off.

simply mate, just use ur ciggy light, thats where u get the most power from for mods like this, just strap a fuse, switch and bingo

i see alot of ppl putin neons in the footwells 2 front and 2 rear and 1 boot threw the ciggy, dosent dim dosent nothing, and looks great

Ive worked out what goin on its grounding out when its attach 2 power i can earth itthrough me 2 get the dule light , does it on switch 2

I got them from autopro, they are wedge leds, for rego plate lights.
i had a old wirings loom for rego light and used that as the holder, now its got me stumped!

I sortted it out, it is all sweet
i just hooked them into the loom behind backseat drivers side, and now they work on timer aswell

They dont pick up interference up there

Im in for the long haull, but i think its worth the time effort, i might have the dash finished 2 morra :

On My Ef I just changed the standard floor lights with blue led wedge globes.

No extra wiring - nothing else to do just change the wedge globe and they worked perfect

EXCEPT they were directional leds so they made a bright blue circle of light on the floor

I then changed to the spread light wedge globes and they were ok but too dark at night time

So i changed it to super bright white light spread wedge globe and they work sweet
