Exclamation *Important Double Demerits Start Midnight Tonight

Just a warning to the NSW folks out there.

Double Demerits start tonight (they didnt advertise it very well this time) and go through to midnight Monday, so take it easy.

The boys in blue have already set up camp on the F3 with the hairdryers and remember speeding equals at least 6 points over easter :(.

Just a heads up.

ok I will explain the comment.. by Howard and his mates I meant each STATE governing body !!! We aren't all in the same state so it was a simpler way of wording what I wanted to say!

What I don't get is why the points scheme is different in every state.

When there is no double demerits- In ACT if I get done <=15km/h over I will get 1 point, but in NSW I will get 3 points!! With double demerits I lose 2 points in ACT and 6 points in NSW. That is just rediculous.

How can the difference between two states (well ACT is a territory but you get what I mean :P) be seen as reasonable in anyones eyes is beyond me.

Out here in the wild west we also have double demerit points during public holidays, school holidays etc. I know everyone will be just as vigilant on the roads but during the holidays things seem to go a little crazy.

For thise doing a road trip.... stay safe brothers and keep cool,

Peter

Yeah im thinking he will, i wont be in the car or cruisen with him when his driving tho. I guess it makes it hard when you lose your licence because you goto then rely on public transport and your mates/parents again.

I think he should have been put off the road for a Year, because the copper caught him at 121k's and he was attempting to go even harder later down the road.

Geez and we in the west complain about demerits etc
1-9km over and you get $50 no points
10-19km over and you get $100 and 1 point (2 over double demerit weekends)

Seems we have it pretty good in contrast with the east
