100% it will be a scam, especially if on facebook marketplace. If you fell for it, you deserve to be scammed.

The catch is if you send them your money you will never receive the ute nor be able to get the money back.

Pretty stiff catch.

I didn’t mean you, I meant as a collective. They a blatantly obvious scam. You look at the ad and the profile will be from another country and the same car will be located in multiple places

A lawyer was working in his office when Satan appeared. "I can make it so you win every case in your career and make huge piles of money. In exchange you will give me your soul, your wife's soul, your children's souls, your parent's souls, your grandparent's souls and the souls of all your friends!" The lawyer thought it over for a moment and then asked "What's the catch?"

Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.

I reckon these scams are put up by the PPSR, every $2 identity check adds up.

A bit like telcos causing the train delays, so everyone calls or texts to say they’ll be late. ;-)

The old cost to transport scam.

Basically they will bait you with a great price. You start talking to them towards the end they will say they need $1000 for transport, which they will take off the total price when you receive the car. You transfer the $1000 and they stop taking. They have just scammed you out a grand.

People fall for it as they have the eye on not losing all the cash, smaller amounts people are more trusting with and willing to send once someone has built a relationship with the scammer.
