Guys,
Sometimes when I am driving, all the instrument icons light up in the speedometer section, the tacho and speedo needles drop to zero for about 2-3 seconds and the seat belt light (Red) remains on for about 5 seconds. Then everything returns to normal, no issue with performance whilst this is occurring. The car seems absolutely normal, no hiccups or misses with the engine running. Very strange. By the way, my seat belt is secured in the stalk correctly and locked in. Has anyone experienced the same with their AU XR8 clusters. Cheers |

Sorry Guys, it’s the odometer section where the icons all come up.

I've had a similar thing happen on a S2 fairmont I had but it was a 6 cylinder years ago, I just lived with it. Also happened on my current S2 xls ute 6 cylinder also. After I fitted an XR cluster on my ute, hasn't happen again. Does it happen to you more regularly when the wipers are in use?

It could be a bad earth or loose connection.
Ensure that the plugs are securely plugged into the back of the cluster. |
