I have been dumb enough to lose 1 bush.
While getting around to doing my manual conversion. Rare Spares sell the Bracket and Bushes, but look to be out of stock? I am told Ford no longer stocks the bushes? I need to get on the phone tomorrow, but was wondering if there might be any other suppliers out there? Thankyou. |

Sorry I haven't got any good news.
But I'll document what I found. They are officially called a "Clutch Pedal Clevis Bushing" in the ws manual. Ford no longer stock the metal clevis or the rubber bushing. Rare Spares used to sell a kit with both. They no longer supply the kit. They say BayFord stopped supplying them with the metal clevis. However they did say they have the rubber bushing as a separate item and they are on order with no ETA. That was all they would say. I assume that means they have a make/import being organised? GWP Grant Walker Parts via via SRP Smart Replacement Parts still sell the metal clevis but not the bushes. There are some other B series bushes on their website that looked like they could be made to fit from a picture. But SRP did not seem enthusiastic about that. It was suggested Repco could have them but while they have a section for "Clevis" they was nothing for an AU or similar. I might have had a better chance if I'd got someone more experienced? I also called Bursons but no luck there. I was also advised the bushings should be available on Ebay but I cannot find them. There are metal clevises still available. I was fortunate, because my mechanic happened to find a spare one in a draw, which was all I needed for the one I had lost while moving. Because I just can't make any time to work on my AU's (separate to the fact I haven't got a garage or many mechanical skills), I have paid my mechanic to do my manual conversion for me. From what I read on the forums, these can wear over time, so it would be good to find a supply. Maybe I need to work out how to do my own 3D printing for things like this. Yes definitely an AU.
All the T5 gearbox I have is likely from an E series. This Rare Spares web page says from XC to AU Falcons. I had thought maybe the early BA's with the T5 could have been the same too, but I don't see that mentioned anywhere. https://www.rarespares.net.au/raresp...f-el-au-falcon It seems surprising there is nothing being made already. Perhaps there is an easy may to knock up a substitute? I also meant to mention, I was advised to check some Transmission specialists as they may know what the alternative is. |

The BA used an hydraulic release bearing, so no yoke or bushing.

Rare spares got them up now as a kit. Been watching out for them for awhile.

Thanks very much for posting back. Have already been down and bought a couple..apologies for being greedy...just to cover myself for the next 2 decades...still 2 left at Bayswater VIC.
I asked if they sold just the Bushings separately and the answer was no, it is not listed. Although last time I spoke to them on the phone they said they were a separate item, but out of stock. Just for the record here, this item can be used in; "Ford Clutch Pedal Cable Bracket & Bushes XC XD XE XF EA EB ED EF EL AU Falcon" Ford workshop manual description; "Clutch Pedal Clevis and Bushings" |
