Default Ford Focus LW2 Sport Ambient Lighting Troubleshooting

I have recently purchased my second LW2 Focus Sport TDCi. I had one a couple of years back and loved it, never had an issue with it but I sold it because I went electric. I am pretty sure that this one came off the boat at the same time as my old one because apart from the colour, it's exactly the same.

Having 170k on the clock, I was anticipating that there would be a couple of issues which there are, but I am hoping they're pretty minor. The one that I am seeking help on is the internal ambient lighting.

It isn't working, I have checked the setting on the dash computer and it is turned on but I have noticed that when I uncheck it and then try to turn the ambient lighting on, it flashes for a moment and then goes out.

Can someone tell me, should I be looking to check the fuse, a bulb or even the level of charge in the battery?

I can't remember if there are globes in the footwell but the front door handles, overhead console and cup holder led's seem to all work for that moment.

Appreciate any help with the trouble shooting, it's not the end of the world but I really liked it in my old car.
