Was out and about in my 2018 Mustang GT, I purchased second hand and as usual I did not get the lock nut key...so at 10 am I was driving through Brookvale, I dropped int o Titan Ford, asked if they had any lock nut keys so I could take off the lock nuts and throw on standard wheel nuts. "yep no problem, drop off the car tomorrow at 8am and well get them off for you for $100 per wheel, we'll call you when its done"...umm no thank you was my response.
My travels a few hours later took me through Rockdale, so I dropped into City Ford Service.....asked if they had any lock nut keys...service manager pulled a bag of lock nut keys out of his top draw, pulled the first key out like lucky dip and no word of a lie, it was a perfect match, we couldn't believe it, he tried a couple more for just for ****s and giggles but none fit. He took em all off for me. I offered him some cash but he wouldn't hear any of it, just bit me farewell. Shout out to City Ford Rockdale, great service. |

Lock nuts are a pain in the butt, I bought a BA GT from Perth a year ago, same thing, no lock nut key ... I just smashed a 22mm socket on them and got them off.
Mustang has a different type and would need drilling off like the Puma if no key is found. |
