Since that trip meter was zeroed, the longest trip has been Hillside to Gisborne (about 40kms) so virtually the entire 6500kms has been urban…
Whilst not lead footing it, I don’t baby it either! Predominantly 98 octane btw

Mine gets around 11.5 doing peak hour trips in reasonably well flowing traffic. Short trips (3km to 12km return) around the local area average 12 to 13. Country trips are 9.5 at highway speeds. It will go lower to about 8.5 if you cruise along between 70 to 80kph on semi rural roads on the fringe of the metro area with no or few stops. A bit of spirited driving pushes the consumption up to 14 or 15.

Sadly an average speed of 36km/hr is actually high in Melbourne at the moment. One of our cars in purely urban environ which includes peak morning and afternoon cannot crack 22km/hr and I remember in the days of our G6ET which sat on 22km/hr used 14.1L/100km.
It's sad the Escape has been dropped. The new update was going to improve it's looks imho.

Ford Australia is hopeless at mentioning future products but in this case if they do have some new vehicles in the pipeline like the already mentioned EV Puma then they should have dropped some info...it's not like they have to fear protecting current sales.

Was trying to hold out for the updated model then found out about 2 weeks ago that Escape will be discontinued here. Order for AWD ST Line has since been placed.

I believe, depsite being a not-bad looking car, it doesn't grab attention like others in this segment. Sedate, in ways. Too bad people don't appreciate power and dynamics.

The fact it's advertised as (tuned for) 95 octane didn't help, either.

Forgot to add it is AWD.

We’re trading in our 2017 Trend 1.5L fwd. That has been a terrific car for us. Saw me through driving 60km to work during the pandemic. Mileage is almost 150,000km. Still on second set of tyres and just changed the battery.

Great news...and quick build date.

I noticed the current online brochures available are only for the Puma, Ranger, Everest & Escape. The Escape and Puma say 2023.25MY, has the dealer confirmed your May build is the same specs as 2023.25MY?...I'm anal about this having been burned through 2 MY changes when we had our Escape on order.

The Australian standards for fuel are being reviewed in 2027, the sooner they ban 91 nationally the better for everyone.

The reason we get all the hobbled Japanese cars is because of our markets fetish for putting the cheapest ****tiest fuel in our cars regardless of what they need, so manufacturers don't take the risk and we get the crippled versions of their technology.

Same with how we've not had what BMW has to offer for the last 15 years because of the sulfur content of our fuel.

Yes, its a 2023.25. I'm a long time customer at Sinclair Ford and happy to continue a relationship with them.
