Default Theoretical question about ITB's

Plain and simple how do they get vacuum??
It's just one of those stupid things that's been on the back of my mind ever since I had my XD Fairmount (F I miss that car😭 lol). Seen on in a magazine somewhere that one had ITB on a six and has always wondered how it would get vacuum

By ITB do you mean an injection throttle body (e.g. CFI) or independent throttle bodies as those initials are used for both things. In any event the are both mounted on the inlet manifold which is the best source of vacuum you will find; or have I misunderstood what you mean by "how it would get vacuum?"

I think were talking ITB as Individual Throttle Bodies, at least that's what I call them, just to introduce a 3rd possibility.

Vacuum occurs when a cylinder on the inlet stroke is trying to draw more air in than it can actually get through the ITB - they still have throttles to limit the air flow.

Independent/ individual throttle body
I don't know C**P about carbies but I'm pretty sure they needed vacuum to work. If I remember right my Xd with its 2 barrel Webber (of a XE ) had a vacuum line from a T fitting on the back of the intake manifold

I'm not sure it's just something that's been in the back of my head for the last 10ish year's. I've never had any real intend of doing it. It's just one of those things the stupid mind keeps thinking about for some reason
