It provided an opportunity for the anti ute crowd to wave their pitchforks.

I hope that I am not included in that group. All I did was give what I thought was a reasonable and honest assessment of my ownership experience.

I'm not 'anti ute' at all, I'm Anti Thailand Special

As I said, my post was about my experiences with Dual Cab ownership. I posted it up to give some input from first hand experience.

With the dual cab, if we do buy something larger I cannot take the car seats out and fold down the back seats. About 12 months ago, we bought some outdoor bar stools and couldn't get them all in the tub. I grabbed my wagon and folded down the back seats and they fitted easily.

A dual cab canopy is not secure enough for my liking. This is probably a discussion for another time.

For anyone who knows me personally, it is a running joke, I hate towing stuff.

I am not saying that Falcons are better. As I said, I was conveying my experiences and the other cars that I have are Falcons.

What will I buy to replace it? I was hoping for a Ford Everest, but with a 12 to 18 month waiting time I'm not interested.

You never know, the new Ranger may be a less of a compromise in our circumstances and we may well end up in another dual cab.
Fair enough PG, I wasnt trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand based on the points you provided what your alternatives would be and to be honest im still not sure.
An Everest will tick the seats+shopping box but wont move the large item you use the Falcon for, nor would you put any funky stuff in the back where the shopping will go.
Folding down the seats gives more room for bigger items but becomes a hazard in the event of a frontal crash due to load shift without a cargo barrier.
You could add a cargo barrier but that would become a PIA to fit in and out when needed which you'd have to do or the kids seats would be a no go.
And what if you were out and bought something that didnt fit behind the kids, you'd have to leave them back home when you went to get the cargo barrier

Me thinks you need an F truck mate, problem solvered.

Gotta love 'Virtue signaling' when you don't agree with others
Anyway its getting late, we've both got a big day at work and Tafe tomorrow and I'm sure Mums got our jimmy jams laid out for us. Nighty night.

Channeling your inner Andrew Tate here?
It’s a commercial vehicle built in Thailand, not a Boogati.

“Oh yeah you criticised a thing? What colour is your Ranger?”

Unfortunately, we are done here.

I think Gaso is a very reasonable mod most of the time to most members on here. Keeping that in mind, when he says something, maybe people, particularly those that he stands up for when others complain about them, should take notice.
