Default dilemma

have been looking for Fg11 ute, XR6, auto, Carryboy canopy, kinetic blue. they are very few and short supply, so may be forced to look at grey, silver (both hard colours to see in the road) if I got a white ute what trim/dressup/detailing could I do to prevent the 'tradie' look?

I may

Why not buy three cars you can’t afford, not insure them, not maintain them, and progressively crash them all?

It seems to be the “done thing” by people I know. :-/

You have heard the saying that you can choose your friends, right?

I only remember “You can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your family”.

Not angry, Mr Mad, just mildly irked.

My post was more an indirect way of saying - per the pitiable example - are you entertaining practical choices?

My son had a FG XR8 ute that he got second hand in the lighter blue. He resprayed it white: he's a panel beater by trade so did all the prep work himself. Black roof, painted the grill garnish, fog light surrounds and mirrors in the trim colour used on a Wildtrak. Black wheels, white hard lid, even painted the brake calipers blue. Was a very good looking ute. Sorry, no idea how to post a pic.

Being so specific, you may be looking for a unicorn. I’d take any colour bought on condition. White can be nice with some aftermarket wheels to dress it up. Black wheels on white is the flavour of the month.
