The bit about them passing on all data about alcohol consumption to insurers even when within the safe limits is worrying. Seems to run counter to this 2014 resolution too https://www.engage.hoganlovells.com/...onnected-cars/ and Lifesite is a bit of an extreme conspiracy theorist nutters site so you have to take it with at least a few grains, if not bags, of salt.

Big Brother in Western Australia already caught out using electronic surveillance to monitor traffic on the Kwinana and Mitchell Freeways. Main Roads were caught using technology to monitor Bluetooth items in vehicles and on pedestrians and cyclist using the paths near the freeway, knowing it was illegal and ordered by the courts not to do so. 4 months post court order, they eventually stopped.

Tesla offers vehicle insurance to drivers in the USA based on a safety score that is calculated on their driving behaviour and is adjusted month by month.

Silly article trying to link monitoring to EVs. My Mustang has the Ford pass app that can monitor the car remotely as did our old Mercedes with the Mercedes Me app. More and more manufacturers offer Apps that provide a lot of information about the car remotely that can be accessed by the manufacturer.
Monitoring of drivers and cars has nothing to do with whether they're electric or not. One of the insurance companies had (or might still have) an app that gave you a driving score by pulling GPS data from your phone.

that monitors driver behaviour like not putting on seat belt before starting ignition, Harsh acceleration/braking/ swerving, speeding above GPS posted speed limits, driving in excess of 2 hours without a break. There’s a whole raft of crap that has to be adhered to as managers get reporting in real time. One example is slowing to 60 kph down off ramps, do that and cars behind think you’re brake checking them Loads of fun and games with general traffic that pick and choose which laws they do and don’t follow. |

Yep, but the poor car drivers are think they are being victimised lol
Wait until their cars are speed limited (like heavy vehicles have been for years) to not much over maximum posted speed limits. Yes it's coming. Already happening in Europe

You could see this happening years ago with the push to sell automatic transmissions.
It would be very hard to control a vehicle remotely with a manual installed.

This is a serious concern in a functional "democracy", though I believe they have that well covered.
The source goes on to say that “if a vehicle is registered to a politically exposed person and there is a suspected case, this person will no longer be able to start their vehicle (it will be deactivated via remote monitoring).” This will not be restricted to the affected person’s own car, he says. “This applies to all private vehicles in which the politically exposed person sits (except officially registered ones, e.g. police cars).” Claims checked out |

If you really want to go dark, just buy a bike and you become invisible to most
car drivers.

I'm disappointed, my 5G reception didn't improve after getting my three.
The thing that makes me laugh is no one cares its happening to someone else, its only when it happens to them its suddenly a problem. |

I remember saying at the time of my first or 2nd shot. I watched the Dr draw the vaccine from a vial and it was obvious there was enough in the vial for about 4 shots. I said to him "how do you know I am getting my microchip and not someone else's plus I could be getting 2 or 3 or I could be getting none" he laughed and laughed

but what if you miss out or they give you too many? Oh I know that is why you have to have the boosters to either put one in or take some out, or they become faulty with time - ahhh silly me.
