Default MC Mondeo headlight pattern question/issue

Calling all people with (MA, MB, MC) Mk 4 Mondeo Titanium (or retrofitted swivelling projector headlamps) experience, what is the pattern of the headlights like? Specifically, do the projector units evidently switch between low beam and high beam?

From experience with cars with the same active cornering projector + fixed halogen main beam setup, the projector units cornering is actually useful because the blind flips up and gives a good projection in the projector part. Is this is also normal behaviour for Mondeos with the same specification of headlights?

At the moment my 2012 Mondeo Titanium’s low beam stays the same when the high beams are switched on. This leaves a unsatisfactory pattern as the fixed lights cast light in the distance and there is only the low beam pattern to the sides.

I removed the lights to check if there are any obvious issues, none to report, besides that the passenger side light has an extra connector that the drivers does not (but some of the wires were clamped in the access door, from the factory probably…). Below is the passengers and drivers headlight respectively.

Below is the low and high beam pattern on a indoor wall, as evident the low beam projector lamps stay cut off (the shutter does not raise). The active cornering and angle adjustment do work (as do the seperate cornering lights).

Does anyone know if this is normal, and if not, what are some things I should look for to try and resolve this?

Thank you all in advance.
