I am not knocking your efforts its a ripper of a time, but at some stage someone will be chasing this time, so its best everyone knows were the boundary's are. Remove what you can for weight loss.
Rod copped a heap off stick for removing a head light lens for months later and he never even removed a hard cover from his Ute.
I wouldn't like to see this type canning to anyone came back it detracts from the efforts people put into the cars.

As I said earlier, it's all stuff that anyone with a set of spanners and some knowledge can do, a few easy to remove items were removed. the seat that was used is not exactly a real light weight plastic race seat, it was a padded recaro race seat, but yes it was still lighter than an original electric seat.
The car was open all night for anyone to inspect, nothing to hide from this camp. I figure the ute was down to a similar weight to a sedan, so maybe we can see some sedans get some decent times now
If I was real serious about removing weight I could think of a lot more items that could be removed, I removed enough to get me the time I was after.


I went out with an intention to get an 11, I didn't just acheive it, I think I smashed it.

My car is a street car and has been raced that way (up until last night) and has run 12.23 in that condition which included a 400 klm round trip to go racing. A couple of hours work today and it is back to that way.

The hard cover is an option on my ute, not standard equipmet, so I figured I do not need to run it,
and as what happened with Rods time, there will allways be someone trying to belittle the acheivement, maybe some of the knockers should get off the forum and onto the track to see how they go, and unlike the other record, all my records have been backed up.

I didn't actually know my name was down till Friday when I received a call about lunch time.

I would have loved to be there but I haddnt even given it a thought with everything going on at work and all that crap.

Doesnt matter i will be at heathcotte next weekend with my slow 260....

I so got sick and tired of 260's beating them . it just didn't seem right .

I think you will find that ratter is taking a little rest from racing the car at the moment. But if someone gets close to the record i reckon it will be back out badder than ever.
