Default Wrecker or overhaul job?

Aiiii, Sup homies,

What's better getting a caliper overhaul or getting second handers from the wreckers? Mine need to be fixed as the front left is siezing up causing the steering wheel to turn left under heavy braking. Overhaul costs $150 for both fronts as they don't do just the one.

Cheers fellas.

Do them properly once IMO. $150 is a pretty good price for rebuilt callipers. Who quoted you that?

$150 to have them done by a mechanic is good.

Izoom, the mechanic rarely actually does the overhaul themself, and you won't be getting your calipers back either. They use a caliper rebuild mob, who basically do a change-over for your calipers, and give you overhauled ones. Its cheaper, and sometimes the mechanics charge you more and say them did it themselves. So ask them if they use someone, or do it themself.

Thanks guys for your advice, got them done today at ABS in fountain gate for 154.00 inc GST left it with them for 4 hrs. and the difference, well i can say it feels almost like a new car but i have rotor problems too and they will be replaced for slotted DBA's soon. The braking used to be shocking and now it's very smooth. Once i get the DBA's all will be smoooooth. :

I used second handies for the rear and put kits in the front, on an EA
$30 for front kits and $30 for secondhand rears with a bring it back and swap it gaurantee if they give trouble.

There is an ABS in Ferntree Gully, ask them to match the price, less travel for you.
