Default KB Laser manual choke

Hi All,

My KB has a manual choke. Is there any way possible to convert it to an auto choke?

Many thanks,
Nathan Manzi

Further to this, it's the 1985 GL Laser with a 1.5l E5 engine, single carb.

Easy way, put a clothesline peg between the pull out plug and the dash. Now it's always out a bit. :P

fit a different carby with an automatic choke you may need an adaptor plate--ring a wrecker see what you can fit

Alot of people these days are running the Escort/Cortina Weber carbies on their KA/KB Lasers. This mod requires an adaptor plate but apparently it is well worth the effort because it is supposed to improve performance dramatically. And these particular Weber carbies also have an auto choke so it may be worth looking into. Hope this info helps.
