me and a few mates are going to start building a esky out of an old keg and a bbq come oven,spit,heater for bathurst so it would be good to see whats out there already
heres a pic of before i will post a pic of when its finshed |

Here's my bluestone bbq I built last xmas, got plenty of use over the break!
Maybe should make a matching bar/fridge area next to it once the verandah is up |

Damn rodderz nice setup.. I got the exact same bbq but just on a standard frame.. bit hard for us to do something like that due to uneven back yard.. but I really should figure out a way to do something permanent..

started to do a lay out of the keg esky for bathurst the bathurst barby where goin to build out of 2 x 44gallon drums it will have a pizza oven,hot plate,toaster and hopefully a hot water setup will keep u posted if anyone has pics of one there built i would love to see them

Got a similar oven to that made out of smallish drum. Heap of holes drilled in the bottom to allow airflow (after initial burnt hands- gas/flame/ no air, bad.)
Basically cut the drum in half, hinges on the rear, mounted at one end. battery powered, works wonders.. Really nice |

Umm hasn't the beer keg esky at bathurst been done before - came third in the best esky comp too. was powered by a turbo Honda lawnmower engine or similar - started at 5hp engine they ended up with 9hp at the wheels (yes they got the POS dyno'd). Looked like a heap of fun though you would get cold sitting on a metal esky packed with ice!!

i would like to see a pic of that this esky
wont have motor on for bathurst not allowed anymore but we will have a motor on it for everywhere else |
