Default DIFF SWAP EB to EA

I am doing a diff swap from an EB series 1 auto (3.23 diff) to an EA Auto (2.77 diff).

I was just wondering what trouble I am going to get into with the different diff ratios. Will the speedo be out ? How can this be adjusted/corrected ?
Are they compatible in other ways ? I think the EB has a 4 speed auto and the EA has a 3 speed auto. Will the different autos matter ?

The tailshaft fitting at the front of each diff looks slightly different too. How does this fitting come off ? Do I have to just drop the tail shaft down or completely remove it ?

The old EA diff seems broke - one wheel is completely frozen and cannot be turned by hand. The other rear wheel seems to turn normally. The car drives - with wierd diff noises. What could this be ?

sounds like busted bearings in your EA diff, or trashed spidergears.

WIth the EB diff you will have to change the input yoke on the EB diff to match your ea tailshaft. 3speed shafts are longer than 4/5speed shafts and there are no 3speed flange type tailshafts.

WIth regards to your speedo, im assuming BW51/BTRLE/T5 all share same speedo drive gear's if so grab a 3.23:1 speedo sender from an appropriate vechile....EA MPFI 4speed , EF/L Fairmont etc.
