Instead of a poll wouldn't it be better to form a sub-committee that reports to a committee as to the validity of the continuance of the options of having further polls.
The committee can then take the findings of the sub-committee on notice and call for further reviews to validate the findings of the first sub-committee and therefore allow the status quo to remain until such further time as the committee needs to re-examine the whole issue. What was the question again?
