Supercharger would be quicker with the setups you listed, but a lot more expensive.

GT40P's aren't -that- good in the grand scheme of Windsor heads.

Boost it!!!!

Then after a couple of years when your motor is getting a bit tired you have an excuse for a stroker rebuild

Boost is best!

Am I the only one to note that 11.1 is NOT a good compresion ratio for boost?
Why are people suggesting stroking and supercharging, that makes no sense at all!

BlueXr8, I say boost it. Which ever way you go, I'd suggest that you use an aftermarket EMS with either option.

obviously if you're building the engine to be blown you'd sort out the comp ratio accordingly

for what reason do you say stroking and blower isnt a good combo.......seems to work juuuuust fine on LTDHO's car

Well BlueXr8 said that the stroker kit had a compresion ratio of 11.1:1 which would be great for an N/A car but obviously not for boost. So, if the comp. ratio of the stroker kit is 11.1 then stroking it and boosting it is not a good idea. Get my drift?

By the way, I have no idea about LTDHO's car, so I'll make no comment on it.

well, of course if you were only going na then that comp ratio would be what you're chasing,

people werent suggesting to go blown and stroker with a comp ratio of 11.1...

oh and as for LTDHO, i suggest you have a look here

BT you can vary the compression ratio of the motor by choosing different pistons - if he built the stroker with boost in mind down the line he could have, say, a 9:1 comp ratio and still make heaps of power N/A, then thow a few Psi in later on and have a complete weapon.

Obviously CR determines how much total boost he can run, but for a street car you want to keep it fairly high to retain off-boost efficiency.

Dont CAPA make ADR approved S/C kits for the Windsor? I'd supercharge it, that way you retain good driveability and probably better fuel economy under normal driving conditions than stroking it.

Nothing better than a V8 with a decent exhaust and supercharger peroid IMO!

I love the whiiiiiiine. Plus its a manual, it sounds better changing through the gears than an Auto, stupid little thing but I hate the lag/shift noise Autos make.

Supercharge it and then when the engine gives up the boot from the blower pull it down and stroke it, lol.

Overview
Our CAPA Falcon Bolt On Blower Kits have revolutionised the performance of the EA - BF Series of cars.

From the 3.9 litre Multipoint engine to the 5.4 Boss V8 we have the whole range covered including all of the Tickford XR6 (including VCT) and XR8 versions. How does a 300kw 5.0 litre sound, or maybe even a 270kw VCT 4.0 litre. Using a combination of Powerdyne and Vortech superchargers in our kits it is possible.

Kits are emission legal in Australia
