you need to get the longer rod from the EF as well
then it should just go in... |

wont work if u got the h/d bar as it runs across the rear bar the ea one goes under the spare tyre well

Are you sure you're not using the EA rod?
That's why you need the rod that was originally underneath the EF shifter cos its longer. If you have the right rod & shifter combo it should fit if its screwed right down then wound back out so it's straight, then do lockng nut up.

get a thin tent peg and cut it to length and add the required slight bend to it.

I put one on my EB, you have to get a bit of rod as Dellboy said and bend it into shape. Both the EA and EF rods are too short.

i put an EF shifter handle on my NA 3spd, and all I did was go to ford and buy the rod from them for an EF and it fit no worries at all... EF rods are long enough for it.
