Default Fiesta 7

Here is a proposed design for the 7th generation fiesta, personally i think they should go back to the drawing board!! its horrible but obviously this image has been put together with insider info so it may look completely different

Another thing i noticed is that the lights are too much like the s-max ligts which dissapoints me, they should be a bit more original. but you cant blame them from borrowing from the jazz and pug because they are two of the best sellers here

If Ford Australia brought a fiesta looking like that I think they will be the laughing stock in Australia. Ive seen a few images floating around on the web about leaked pictures of the next gen Fiesta and they all have either a focus or fusion or s max look to them some even Fiat inspired??. So i dont know what direction Ford Europe are looking at. Even on a European persective, where the fiesta " has been a leading model for the past 30 years" going from the image above they will totally lose respect for a great car

At the moment i think the fiesta wp & wq are very stylish and sexy to say the least even a fusion look aight.

MERCEDES A CLASS RIP OFF!

Looks exactly like an A Class - a mini MPV. One of the reasons I purchased the Fiesta Zetec was because it looked like a conventional Hatch... this just looks wrong.

The C-pillar smacks of quite a few of the current Euros and even a certain Korean but the nose is where Ford Europe seem to be heading after the Iosis concept. Overall I'm glad that's just a mockup because it's a really convoluted design with lines going everywhere, it simply hasn't the purity of previous Fiestas.

There may also be a Fiat connection, the next-gen Ka is built from the same platform as the new Fiat 500.

Oh I know! Fiat (Grand) Punto!

Front kind of looks similar to the news scoop on the Fiesta7. For example the front lights, and the small triangle glass at the bottom of the A pillar, beside the front door! (which makes me think it looks MPV like)

Hehe, but the Fiat Punto Sport has more torque! 280Nm to be exact in the 1.9 Diesel Sport, and it is 6 speed manual too! I'm certain my car eats it alive (7.1s 0-100km/h vs 9.5s), and the new Clio Sport 197 will also kill it (6.9s 0-100).... but the Fiat is Italian designed and very stylish, yet reasonably priced at $27,990. Oh, and it doesn't drink much fuel!

I was just speculating though. The Fiat is a very interesting small hatch, something I'm certain to check out and maybe recommend to others.

Oh, and Jim, prices start at $19,990 for the 1.4L Petrol Dynamic

Top pic looks a bit photo shopped with bits from other fords, Galaxy lights & wheels. Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out nothing like that.

I had a brief look at the Punto at the Adelaide Motorshow a couple of months ago but it wasn't available to drive then. I'd be keen to see what the diesels are like if only to satisfy my morbid curiousity.

There was a review on the Punto's in a recent mag (Motor?) and it wasn't too flattering. Bit of a disappointment reading it.

Really? Which issue was that? From what I can see it was in the Launched section of Wheels (which really isn't a review anyway) and they only said the steering was a little light.

Anyway, might go check one out soonish if I can get over this headache
