A couple of us are keen to make the trip up to see what it's all about - I was at the last one in February, and it was good to see the various cars getting around the track etc.
What I have planned is to organise a drive up to Winton - people can decide whether they want to car pool it or drive up themselves...at this stage, anyone wanting to race on the day will have to be getting there pretty early - 8:30 (?) scrutineering...that's like a 6am leave for those wanting to drive up themselves. The plan is to meet up at The Maccas in Campbelfield on the Hume Highway / Sydney Road...it's the Maccas next to the Mobile servo JFYI. Meet time will be 7:00 AM and leave time will be 7:30 AM - this should give people ample time to grab some brekkie from Maccas etc before the journey North. It is just over 2 hours from here - so we should be in WInton by 9:30. Post up if you're keen to come along - spectating is free on the day - they have a kiosk for refreshments and the like. Benalla is a stonesthrow for lunch if people are interested in that too. I'm planning on chucking my car on the track for a few laps (pending no issues between now and then) for only $25 who can resist
