i'm looking at getting an EL futura, and i currently have an EB Gli wagon, with 2.5 inch redback exhaust, otherwise it is stock. now specs for these cars say that the EB is quicker in 0-100 and 1/4 mile, so could someone tell me if this is right. i know the EL is better in every other way with ABS comfort and other luxuries, but if i'm gonna upgrade i want more power as well.

I beleive when you go 2nd hand - it all comes down to the indevidual cars... One stock EL could do 1/4 mile in 17 secs, another stock EL can do it is 15.42 (Just ask Heljas -Jason)... EL would prolly have more potential and room for improvement if you where looking at spending some pennies on it

From what I've read the early EF head is the best of all the e series closely followed by the EL. Note above 1/4 mile times are probably so different due to auto vs manual. Damn good reason to get a five speed me thinks.
