It's time to sell the Fairmont. Now, it was suppose to be a base for a nice project to entertain me on the weekends, but family issues have gotten in the way and now I don't have the means.
Note: The car was involved in a (not at fault!) accident, and needs a VIV to be reregistered. (Thanks AAMI, but that's another story!) It's only got a dent in the rear passenger side wheel arch, as the diff took most of the force. Silly camry drivers. It's got a fair few good bits, including... 1. 3.23 LSD, seems to be in good condition from my short drives - actually limits slip not like the old pretend one 2. New passenger side electric mirror 3. Fairly new radiator 4. Damn clean interior, no marks on any of the dash or instruments including the climate control ... controls, seats very good, drivers only slightly worn 5. Engine's strong for the 300,000kms its done (basically untouched), was getting ready to drop in an AU 4.0 6. Auto's also in good condition, was serviced when I got the car last year 7. I pulled out the dash and fixed the climate control heater box once and for all... no more issues, took hours. Every car I saw at the wreckers had the same drama's! 8. Turboblade alloys + Snowflake alloys (tyres not bad) 9. Sealed up the boot so it doesn't leak dust, doesn't rattle 10. Kenwood MP3/CD Headunit, Pioneer 4" Front Speakers, Kenwood 6" x 9" rear speakers (might seperate, we'll see) 11. It's got fairly new shocks all round, so rides nicely for a falcon. Changed all the rear suspension bushes when I did the diff 12. New genuine ford oxygen sensor - damn this made a difference 13. New throttle cable - damn WOT is nicer than 1/2 at best Anyway, would this be worth much to anyone? I wanted to make it a nice base to put in an AU engine and work from there, but unfortunatly things don't always happen as you plan. I'd hate to see it in the pick-a-part yard :( Edit: Whoops, it's an EB Series 1 Fairmont. Edit: Forgot, also got a new power steering pump and a harmonic balancer. Man I spent too much time and money on this to throw it away... :( Cars suck. Last edited by BuuBox; 20-07-2006 at 09:22 PM. |

I'd wreck it. But wreck it yourself. You'd probably get more for it that way.

I'll throw some pictures up tomorrow. I'm not too sure how much the whole car is worth, that's why I posted this up here. Wasn't quite specific enough in my initial post, too much pain!
