See all the cars at Dragtec were FPV's & XR's ;)

One of the politicians thought it was "too real" and found it nearly "too much to handle" Lol, perhaps that's because MP's don't really drive anywhere.

Be good if Tooraddin happens, Heathcote, Calder etc are all to the North & West so be good to have something for people in the S/East.

$20? :

Drag Tag is also just around the corner from popular drag strip's (if you know where I mean).

Heh, most of the kids there were Learners and a fair few girls but I don't think it will be super popular amongst the majority of car lovers, it's hard enough paying for fuel & maintenance etc when your young.

You are way to uninformed to make statements as such everything was a go had the full backing of parliment, drag racing clubs and competeitors but decided he needed the funds better than anyone else . has been caught and dealt with but was shy on the original funds. check facts before making statements as it is zoned industrial around the whole area and was even approved by the prison in vacinity.

Nothing wrong with an 1/8 mile strip. Atleast it keeps the trap speeds down for the sort of cars and drivers that are being discussed on this thread.

Well Im sorry I am not in the know as much as you are, but as a local resident at the time, (A house in the middle of nowhere just down the road from the proposed side), the information we recieved from our local MP was that the site was being built, and we were even given an estimated finishing date, then we were told by the same office some time later that construction had stopped due to the housing estate being built next door.

No need to get all nasty man.....It's just ment to be a friendly discussion.

no nastiness about it we all got had by adrenalin in a big way we as a drag racing club as were others totally duped by the developer he even attended a meeting night with all the plans etc and set about weaving a web of deceipt. Calder is in the same boat been there for 30 years and because of the developement who were asked at time of purchase to sign a waiver as to the noise etc then only to have local government overrode all of it. And the best one of all is the people who call themselves "freinds of the organ pipes" protested and used a forum that the noise effects the breeding cycle of the sugar gliders in the national park..go figure . Your local member was infact being diplomatic as to reasons why.....but being involved as long as i have then it is a statement of misinformation that will always kill any push for a new track. Efforts have now been going on for 10yrs or more long before any of this s**t started. That's also right it is a freindly forum and this was in noway a beatup on the bloke by me so let's all get behind any push for a venue god knows we have been pushing for one for long enough

It seems like you are a man in the know.....Have you heard any word on Gippsland?

I think the hill climb track was called the 'Keyhole' I know it is still open, and I do know it is closing once the new venue in Gippsland is opened, but what is this new venue? From what I understand through cams, there will be a hill climb track that is 'drift friendly', an autocross track and motorkahna area but any word on a strip?
