Default Supercharged & Turbo

Was just trying to find prices for turbo or supercharger kits for my v8. I remeber a couple of years ago seeing a twin turbo holden VT v8, running high 11 secs on a q/t. Basically what turbo kits are out there for the v8's, and how much would i be looking at for it? but i cant find any!

Also in general whats better, supcharged or turbo?.Where can i get some prices on supercharged kits?

thanks

no off the shelf turbo kits around for the 5.0 over here.
if you're very serious about turboing your 5.0 then i'd be looking at the US mustang forums (i'm sure someone will link it here)
loads of knowledge about turbo'd windsors

Well, there are a LOT of setups to choose from... Don't go half-hearted either way, for example, if you decide on a T or TT setup, don't bother with the pacemakers, you'll have to pull them off again ;)

There are many blower setups to choose from too, some available here. CAPA are the main players, offering Vortech and Powerdyne setups, which are underbonnet centrifugal setups (similar to a turbo powered by a pulley/belt, rather than by exhaust gases spinning the turbine)

BPT in WA are experimenting with Kenne Bell (sp?) blower. Do a google search on Kenne Bell.

I suggest a read thru the Fordmods site (www.fordmods.com), corral (I don't remember its URL but they love the 5.0, its variants, and forced induction), and the Windsor and Power Adders sections in this forum.

IMO go a charger if money doesnt matter. they r more costly than a turbo setup but you get power increase right across the rev range whereas turbo's only really add power (depending on your personal settings) from 3-3.5k rpm and up. having said that turbos are the bang for buck option.

so you have done this? a gt3540 off a xr6T would be a awesome combination on a 5.0, making boost under 2000rpm at a guess.
