Default climate control question....

just wanting to confirm weather the ED climate control unit will work in an EA/EB1 or not........

no, the plugs, wiring or something about it is backwards.

how does one tell if the unit is an ED one or not...... the one im currently looking at doesnt have the cfc free writing on it but its part number begins with 93da............that'd definatley still be an ED unit yeah??

Err, unless they were made in 1988 and stamped with a 93DA part number, then yes, that will work. :ticking:

if the buttons are grey then it is an EA, EB1. If the buttons are black with no CFC Free on then it is an EB2. Black buttons with the CFC Free only came on the ED

EA, EBI has a different display then that of an EBII and ED.

yeah i know...
you can fit an EB2 black module (with the better display) to an EA / EB1 but i wasnt sure on the ED unit....which as this thread has shown is different internally...

ED has the same plugs, plugs in, looks good, just doesnt work as expected, my fan stayed on 1 with igntion off, the buttons did random functions, like the fan up would switch vents to floor. Ambient button at least worked as expected.

EBII though works very nice, all butons and functions, and its nice to see its 2degrees outside some mornings.
