I just completely rooted my diff and need to replace it with something pronto.
Im thinking of going straight to a ED 28spline since ive already broken an axle with the 25spline. Also, when did the Falcon recieve the 28spline, was it EB or ED? Thanks |

T Terror - this has been covered several times before.
They swap straight over IIRC. Except the top bushes Not sure when the 28 came out, probably with the introduction of the V8. But my diff is EA and I have a v8 and original axles.

28spline = EB1 V8/XR i think
All have 28 after EB2 i think

I intalled an EB series 1 28 spline diff....bolted straight in to EA with no mods required.

Series 1 diffs bolts straight in, series 2 have different pinion flanges and upper arm bushes.
Flange is easy enough to swap for an EA item, get EB2 bushes put into the diff end of the trailing arms and it'll bolt in. |

I have an ED diff in the EA, but the mechanic ended up getting new ED trailing arms and it cost me a pretty penny.
