Default Commy Part on my Fairmont 6cyl

Mate is a motor mechanic and whilst it was on the hoist he noticed my Fan/Drive Belt was a bit warn and starting to split

So he got a new one and he said it was a genuine part, I thought well this is going to cost me, he took off my old belt and put the new one and told me I now have a VN Holden Commodore Belt on my car

Apparently the VN Commy Belt is the same as the EF belt but is half the price.

Fully Sic Bro

the belts aren't always sold by the application listing, sometimes they go by the length and number of ribs, however I can't explain the price difference.

Cheaper alternative to commy do you mean...........?

I am pretty sure when change your drive/fan belt you would rather pay 1/2 the price for a genuine holden one rather than a genuine ford one (this conclusion comes from your "sexy" rubber mats in you car and that you wouldnt pay $35 for a EL GT Snorkel (_x_) <--- tight a$$ )

That's one great thing, about owning a Commie with a Nissan engine and using 90% of Nissan parts. When something stuffs up, I can blame Nissan. lol
