The top 20 has been the same "urban" music for the last 15 years.
Yes I used to like certain types of urban music, and Rap, , but how many of those artists are still making hit albums today that were 15 years ago in the early 90's. Yes it is popular within the charts, , but the charts are defined by agegroups of 15-24 year olds. Surprisingly when most people hit their mid 20's they change their music stlye. What do you think the Top 20 would be if it was decided by 25-35 year olds. ? AC/DC |

The radio in general- Besides alternative stations are commerical....Plain and simple....they are not concerned about Independant Artists or Lables....
What you hear on the radio is only an indication of how popular someone is The whole commercial music industry relys on sex and gimmicks... TV stations..Radio stations...Billboards are all tools to alter perceptions....material obejects.....money all contribute to the lack of integrity in Commerical Music Charts are just a cycle of current social issues....Songs pop up with intented psycologies to take advantage of a current situation... If you rely on the Charts to gain perspective on the music industry you are severely flawed as about 1% of all music makes it up Also i thought i uploaded Peruvian Cocaine but it was Harlem Streets |
