Yes Yes and Yes. If you don't do it you void the warranty of your clutch. Pay about 45 bucks I reckon. Don't forget to change your spiggot bearing too.

might aswell do the thrust bearing and spiggot bearing aswell. and the rear main seal on the motor and the box, saves u doing it untill u change the clutch again if u feel like it and it isnt that expensive (rear main seal on motor is 16 bucks, thrust bearing is 30ish spiggot is 10)

machine the MoFo. The place i get my clutch kits from charge me about $20 to machine them ontop of the price of the clutch, and they can do it then and there in about 15 minutes.

Just machines the surface flat so you don't get shudder.

Do the spigot, thrust and real main while you're at it.

Basically - a clutch plate needs a good true surface to grip properly. The flywheel is put in a lathe and the face is "cut or turned" off it until it is smooth and flat.
Clutches generate a lot of heat which is why they wear out. The clutch linings break down in various ways.
The flywheel cops a lot of heat and sometimes has surface cracks and blue spots. They can warp too.

If you're getting a new clutch and pressure plate it would be a good idea to renew the spigot and throwout bearing too. A small price to pay to prevent a big problem later.
