Well it took me two days from when i put the car on stands to when i put her back on her own four legs. The job itself wasn't difficult or time consuming, it was the fact that the person or mechanic who did the last clutch change used "locktite" or something of the sort on most of the bloody bolts !! Making them very hard to remove, lets just say it took me just on an hour and a half to undo the four tailshaft bolts.
Very happy with the outcome, the clutch pedal has gone from Tractor to Hyundai excel. Love it...the car is a pussy cat to drive now. In saying that i hope i dont have to tackle that job again. Its good to have more grip on the clutch than the wheels : ..........hehe Cheers.

I thought flywheel bolts should be done up with locktite
my first cars fly wheel came off killing the brand new clutch i put in it becuase the mechanic didn't use locktite i now see you said tailshaft |

That tailshaft locktite story brings back memorys of Lukes car, oh the horror of it all.

wen i first put my manual in i didnt lock tite anything. 1 week later all i hear is rattles, pull the bellhousing off and the flywheel is loose. THAT is why they use locktite, if they dont, u wont have a car left after a flywheel/clutch comes off
