Default Perth City To Surf

Hey all,

Just wondering who (if any) participated today in the City to Surf? Was a wonderful day for it! I pulled up very well for someone who hasnt done any real training for it :-)

Yep, I ran it... was my second time, finished in just over an hour. But not much of a runner by any stretch of the imagination, had a top day.

Yeah, its strangely enjoyable isn't it....

Most of my training was over distance's of 4 - 8kms but there is something about being amongst such a large group that pushes you along on the day.

Is definitely a feeling of accomplishment when you finish it. I still find it unbelievable that anyone could be crazy enough to run a marathon, 12k's is plenty for me.

Will be back next year trying to crack the hour...

What is the name of the swim to Rottnest Island? I reckon that it would be a good challenge, although it would be hard to organise from the east coast.

Rotto Swim?

You crazy bastard. No way in hell would I ever be able/want to do that. Its a huge swim. Id rather boat it over to rotto and sit in the Quokka Arms and have a beer and one of there rather tasty pizzas.

So who wants to come sit, have a beer/bourbon/whatever you drink and have a yarn? lol im such a lazy git.

What was the run like? Fairly hard on the feet or what? All bitumen im assuming.
