Okay thanks. That's a subtle difference I didn't know existed between AU and AU T-series.

Yes I was, I made him an offer through email. Nothing eventuated. I thought why not spend a little more and get something just the bit nicer.
Thanks for your kind words everyone, I will definately look after this car. Dad loves it also.
There does seem to be a "miss" in the engine, is independant of speed and gear and very very rarely and only for a second. The ESS plays up a little bit aswell, probably hasn't been used in the entire 87,000km it's travelled.
The trans units on these are sealed, i'd assume like the EL's were? In which case, I can go and get the trans flushed, serviced, bands adjusted etc?

Thanks again. After I've got it cleaned up and find a nice place to take some pics I'll have them here...
Those are bugs on the front bar aswell btw, very few chips/scratches over the entire car.

James.

And for those of you that are interested it goes like a cut snake, I gave it a couple of bursts as I drove it back from Melbourne for James. If you ask him nicely he has a couple of picks of the speedo/taco at a rather illegal speed LOL

Great car! I love the TL50 & wanted to buy one but at 50k per year I couldn't justify doing high Km's on a collectors car! If(when) you modify it keep the original parts as it will be worth a lot money in years to come. Congratulations on a Smart buy.
