any one know much about amps? last night on the cruise my amp for my speakers was cutting out giving me no music, but the sub amp was still working, john and hppsc forgotten his name said it would be they are getting to hot, so today i cut two 2 3/4" holes in the perspex went fine for a bit now its starting goign to protection again? anyone got any ideas of what it could be?

check speaker polarity and earth turn the gain down a bit

Check for shorting of speaker cable. Your amp may be stuffed as well.

not a good enought earth can cause that and also the check the rca's

When mine did it it was because the gain was too high, causing the amp to overheat

check nothing is shorting out (earth, speaker wire, remote wire, power) if it all fine try turning the gain down and the level down. still not working, new amp me thinks...
EDIT: could try relocation to better ventelated area too....
