Went to adjust the hand brake, as the adjustment is all the way on the lever I removed the rear wheel to adjust from there..How do I remove the disc ?? there is a large nut in the centre with what appears to be some form of lock on it How is this removed.. Fairmont Ghia V8 with IRS

Try looking here. This will get you to the hub once the disc is off. From there, it looks as if the hub needs some coertion to come off. Mine came off in the process of taking the discs off, they were on really tight! They normally don't take the hub off with the disc though.

You can adjust it through the adjustment hole using a flat blade screwdriver. Not easy, but can be done.

undo large philips head screw and pull it off. thats all that holds it, and the caliper. heaps easier to adjust.
