Default new krispy kremes oulet opening soon.................

i recieved this in an email today

CBD SWEETENS UP - KRISPY KREME OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT

Ending months of speculation, Krispy Kreme today confirmed that their second Victorian store will open at 607 Collins Street, Melbourne City.

The store will open to the public on Tuesday 26 September from 6:30am, and will serve all 15 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, including the signature Original Glazed and other popular varieties such as Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, Powdered Strawberry Filled and Glazed Cruller.

The new CBD home will also serve Ice-Kreme and premium espresso-style coffee made fresh to order.

Krispy Kreme is currently recruiting staff for the new city store.

Krispy Kreme is looking forward to arriving in the city and providing the CBD with a Krispy Kreme experience, as Marketing Manager Mark Gilbert confirmed:

"We're really excited about our first city store opening in Melbourne. There have been rumours that our second store would be in a suburban location so it's great to be able to announce that it will in fact be in the heart of the city!" said Gilbert.

"Perhaps most pleasing is the timing of this store opening - we could not think of a more 'Melbourne' moment to arrive than AFL Grand Finals week," Gilbert added.

Before their city store opening, Krispy Kreme intends to give Melburnians a sneak peek doughnut treat with an exclusive fundraising drive for Melbourne Citymission, details of which will be released shortly.

WHAT: FIRST KRISPY KREME MELBOURNE CBD STORE OPENING

WHEN: TUESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2006

TIME: FROM 6:30AM

WHERE: 607 COLLINS STREET, MELBOURNE CITY

I stopped at the Fountain gate one last week on the way home from picking up a puppy, the joint was a joke.

There were approximately 25 cars lined up, but the walking line had I guessed over 100.... stuff that. Any longer than 2mins wait and I cant be stuffed. The shopping centre carpark at that place is a nightmare too, like trying to get out of a crazy maze

Went in to the bakery and got more for less!

Yep the hole concept is crap... I've waited, I've tried every nut on offer and to be honest, nothing beats roadside nuts when you're on a roadtrip...

I agree. Try finding two parks next to each other when you have a trailer on! In all seriousness, I did that earlier this year. Took some driving around, but I eventually found them.

If I can remember correctly there are some red light and speed camera's around that area too, not to mention the City of Melbourne's parking inspectors being the worst in the world.

The revenue raised should be able to fund several new stores, stop selling of Telstra and buy KK stores should be the Government's next agenda

i've had KK doughnuts twice, once when they were sent to us at work from our sydney counterpart, and once from the place in narre warren, both times i thought they were average. still don't see what the fuss is about. One american chain i DO like however is TGI Friday's .. mmmm TGI's.

I like getting Donut King donuts from Coles for 50 cents. 5 Pineapple Glazes for 50 cents = instant jizz with pineapple pleasure!

Krispy Kreme haven't got pineapple glaze. That's a crime in my book of lameness.

You could not buy anything worse for you than a KK doughnut.
They have more sugar per doughnut than a can of coke and more fat than a big mac.
I am glad they have opened in melbourne as I do not need to be sickened by all the fat morons who buy them at Sydney airport and transport them in the overhead lockers to Melbourne. They should be banned on the planes, they should be banned from Australia as we are already fat enough.

I agree. By 2020 a majority of children will be overweight/obese and this crap tells kids, "this is normal. EAT!"

Kids prefer to play video games and watch tv more than move their fat buttocks off their ****-grooved couch and do something that requires them to actually move their arms and legs to achieve a purpose.

Obesity is the greatest cause of illness.

Hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, heart disease, cardiovascular disease. All painful deaths in their own way...

Be in it today and make more of your LIFE BE IN IT YEAH!

Obesity is the greatest cause of illness.

And whose fault do you think this is? In my opinion it is the parents that are feeding their kids this crap. It is my opinion that it is the parents that are allowing their kids to sit in front of the TV to play video games and watch channels with nothing on.

You are completely right about the 2020 thing - because it will take a generation to establish a pattern (rise in obesity - 2020). A generation to become normal (2020) and then a generation to fix (2040).

Basically if you aren't establishing good patterns now, you are screwed, and so are your kids - and potentially their kids.
