whats the best way to get the front of an EB indicator? i just got my new clears for the front, chrome backed of ebay (iquay). i now need to get the face off it so i can do the edges and the bottom gloss black so it matches in with the headlights.
im pretty sure the face of the indicator is just glued on but whats the best way of getting through the glue to get it off? also would just standard hobby glue be ok to glue it back on when im done? cheers braden

I'd heat it up, then pry it open like a paint tin with something thin like a stanley blade.
I had to take mine off when I had my old set, and that's how i did it. Good Luck  _2:

thanks. i'll try first with my old amber ones incase i bugger it up! lol! where should i heat it up? oven? wouldnt take lokng would it?
sorry bout all the questions...id just rather find out as much as possible first!lol! so why did you have to open it up for?

I used a heat gun. You could try in the oven - 180 degrees for 1 hour! lol! I would just use a heat gun, because it wouldn't take long.
I opened mine up because some of the glue around the edges had broken off, so there was liquid in the actual fitting, so I pulled it off, cleaned the surface, then reglued it back on! Sweet!

mine fell off anyways, lol... but i used clear silicon to put mine on, its easier to seal i reckon

i wouldnt try the oven or even a heatgun for them.....
they're a really poor grade plastic and they'll wrinkle / shrivel up..... trust me i know from experience ( i screwed one up doing my blacked out indicators) your BEST bet is to get 2 pairs of indicators.... bust the lenses on one pair and remove, and bust the housing away fron the other pair that way you'll end up with 2 housings and 2 lenses......unbroken |

for the tailights on my mates car, we heated up a stanley knife blade on a gas stove and ran it around the seam where the glue was to get them apart...worked a treat and no damage!
