This is the second one mentioned in this thread. The dealer shows it listed as a Trend (not Ambiente) with a 6-speed auto transmission. Could it be possible these are models specifically brought in to trial? I checked both VINs, and they both have an engine producing only 89Kw of power. I also viewed on Youtube that a non-turbo 1.5 engine is made in India for the Indian market. At$27,490 drive away, for a presumably base model, I don't regard it as value-for-money

I've just been advised by the Stock Controller that my vehicle has cleared Quarantine and is at the Stealership.
Delivery day on Monday 27 May - this saga is nearly over! |

I’m told the original confidential Focus bulletin said the Ambiente and Active would launch after the Trend, ST Line and Titanium. The later has come true and it seems the former has now too.

Here is a pic of the number plate bracket removed from my car - first mod before delivery LOL.
There are two screws and a pop rivet which need removal. https://i.imgur.com/8eJVbgA.jpg |

Love the detail of the headlamps on the new Focus.

And a PS question - I was looking at the photo of your car and checked your specification of your car that you had put up earlier. In a couple of months time I will probably be ordering an exact identical twin of your car. If you don't mind the question I was wondering how long has it taken from when you ordered it till the time you receive your car? Thanks. |

I don't think it really matters what model you order, it gets built fairly quickly. In my case, from the time I ordered to the time I got the notice that it was built was 7 days. But it was almost a month before I got another notice it was loaded on the boat and shipped. |

Focus seems to rate well, but I feel as if the media have just overlooked it as it doesn’t sell in big numbers.

Thanks - yes I will be having those options too and want to try and have the vehicle before Christmas this year so have to allow that time frame to get the order in. Will be interesting to see your final number plate look like. |

Good to see cars are coming through would be good to see more of them on the road.
My brother pulled the trigger on a ST-line hatch with drivers and design packs, nothing in stock so factory build ordered and as others have said car will be around 12 weeks away, not too bad considering we waited 12months for the Mustang Bullitt. I was going to put in an order for titanium with hud and park assist but will wait for the ST to be released first before making a decision, so will keep current daily for another 12 months. Was really impressed with the way these cars drive especially with all the current technology in it. The stop and go with lane centering worked great as part of the test drive had some traffic. The motor is just brilliant for want it is and matched up with the 8 speed it was always in the right gear and very smooth even up some hilly roads. Looking forward to seeing more pics as you guys start taking delivery. |

"suggested to me that 19.75 models will come with, what are now options"
Thanks for the heads up on that. May wait till then before putting in the order. We have a LW + LZ models at the moment. Keeping the LZ and one of my kids is interested in taking over the LW. Hope this is going to turn out ok but the LW is going into Ford next week to have a look at the gearbox. Gearbox was repaired 2.5 years ago and has been running well. However, recently it seems to be over-revving or hanging onto gears in low gear. Also a bit of a shudder creeping back in when changing down gears especially when the car encounters a hill. I don't want to pass the car on to my kids if there are any outstanding problems. I want this cleared up before we order our next car so I can prepared to wait out and see what the 19.75 models offer. |

That looks much better and would imagine most people would like it too. Looks like you have screwed the number plate on using the original screw holes that were used for the number plate holder. |

The number plate frame (free advertising for the Stealership) just finishes it off nicely, IMO. |

Just got word today, that my new Ford Focus Active will be ready for me on Thursday, much sooner than I had expected. My notifications from Ford were somewhat delayed and I ended up tracking the wrong ship. Better early than never.
Now I feel at a loss not having to track anything . Even though the wait is over, it was a fun two months. |

Sat in an Ambiente the other day, lacks fog lamps, a centre console box / arm rest, has a traditional gear lever and no rotary E-Shifter, cheap black plastic trims. It just feels so cheap, I think they’ll bring in this limited run then can them. Even the brochure doesn’t list it, just the optional Convenience Package.
