They have taken a lot of weight out of the wheel/tyre assemblies for P703. Except for Raptor. |

I see Paul updated the description on the Video where he said another Ford Raptor was put on a Hub dyno and it recorded 253kw. So it does look like those 33's had a big impact. |

Does that actually effect the performance of the car to that level or is it just 'on paper' because of how a roller dyno works?
I'm not a fan of roller dyno, it just seems to add in another variable. |

But considering the 2.5t Raptor is doing 0-100 in under 6 seconds and mid 14s proves that they heaps of grunt.

Had a good look/sit at a Raptor today... Looks way more tough then the Wildtrak... Didnt drive it (they know I'm not a buyer, as I have a wildtrak on order with them...lol) but did start it up. I didn't know if I liked the sound from the videos, much better in person .. IMHO anyway....
Im happy with my WT order, it will be better for my intended use, but damn you blokes (and blokettes) who have one coming are damn lucky....

It was a leap of faith ordering Code Orange without seeing it. Especially since all the pictures before they started arriving was showing it as more of a red colour. However, now that I've seen it, I'm very happy with my choice.
Pick up in the morning. |

and who would have imagined that the cost of petrol would be significantly less than diesel, any extra thirst of petrol for the EB 3.0 is surely offset by lower cost, the fun factor, priceless. 2.7 EB V6 option for XLT & Wildtrak please…. |

I'd be interested in how quick the ecoboost 2.3 in the Amorak will be.
Bit of suspension work and a tune might make it a bit of a budget Raptor.

Well what can I say, it's awesome. After coming from 3 diesel Rangers (2.2 and 3.2) since 2012, all I can say is the drive is in another world. There is just no comparison. The power, the sound, the theatre, it's just spot on. It is just so much more enjoyable to drive than my PXII. I just can't wait to get it off road and see what it can actually do.
It's not perfect though. There are a few things that could be improved. - It has a massive screen yet a heap of its real estate is wasted. Especially with the HVAC controls that can't be minimised. Some of which are a pain to use on a touchscreen. - Android Auto also fails to connect sometimes. - The seat belt screen doesn't seem to timeout unless you press ok everytime. - You scratch your leg on the side step everytime you get out if you don't stand on the side step. - The charging pad didn't seem to add much/any charge on a 3hr trip. There are also areas of cost cutting that you can see. - They've ditched the height adjustment for the seatbelt. Not so good when there is a significant height difference between drivers. - The Alcantara type material on top of the dash and front door cards is not replicated in the rear. - It only comes with front mats. - No bonnet struts. I did a 300km trip with a head wind and an average speed of 110km/hr and according to the dash it averaged about 14lph. Now after doing almost another 100km in town, the average speed is now down to under 60km/hr and the average is still showing around 14lph. I'm happy with that considering I was averaging about 12lph in the PXII. Another 300km coming up tomorrow so we will see how it goes. I'll actually check the consumption properly to see how accurate the readout is. Not that I'm overly concerned about how much it uses. Anyway so far I'm beyond happy with it and can't wait to spend more time in it. The few things I've mentioned above are only very minor and the way it drives is what matters. |

I'm so tempted to get one, and now that a standard Aussie pallet fits in the back it suits work better.....and thanks to MB raising prices on their product so often in the last 18 months, my 18 month old Vito is actually worth more than it's payout figure by a few grand based on a quick Carsales search of equivalents with higher kays, ...unheard of in times prior for me so soon into a finance term...

Going from 12/100 in the PX to 14/100 in the Raptor isnt bad at all, considering the huge performance difference. Look forward to more insight as you own it for longer...

I just did the return trip. 300km, average speed 80km/hr. The vast majority at 110 with the rest some heavy footed driving around Mildura. Verified 12.5lph while the Raptor was showing 13.1lph on the dash. So the dash is pessimistic. The same trip in the PXII, I would have expected probably about 11-11.5lph. I'm happy with that and now probably won't give the fuel consumption another thought. Last edited by naddis01; 09-10-2022 at 04:52 PM. |

My dealer had 4 new raptors in this weekend. Meteor grey , Blue lighting, Conqueror Grey and Black.
In my opinion the dark grey and black seemed to not show the raptors bulk as much as the flares melded in. The Blue looked very tough with the black flares. The conqueror grey was interesting as the owner had deleted the raptor stickers off the back tub and it looked much cleaner I thought. |
