The adjustable 30mm front and 22mm rear Whiteline sway bars that I got on Fleabay arrived today

Fitted them up to the XR6 straight away, set them on the softest settings to start with, over the next week or so I will attempt to dial them in for optimal handling.

Im sure that trying to get a 1800kg boat to sit flat with the desired handling characteristics I'm after whilst still using the standard compliant shocks (new) and springs and using 235/40 17 Bridgestone MY-02 tyres will be a frustrating adventure

Started to repair the rear beaver panel.
It's nearly $400 for a new replica and I've got better things to spend my money on.
I tapped it out pretty well, paint stripped it, welded up a couple of holes and beat it some more then etched it.
Tomorrow I'll put a skim of bog in a few places and see how it comes up.

Today I fitted a new radiator to my Territory. the old one developed a pinhole sized leak right at the top in the centre after 220,000 km. Quite an easy job apart from the two ten mm bolts at the bottom which take about 15 mins each after removing about a dozen small bolts that hold the plastic cover below the radiator. Not cheap though, $290 for the radiator, $100 for the five hoses, $20 for a new cap, and $40 for new coolant

Fitted a lower grill to my BF XR 6 I got on flea bay.

It has the exact same style and design as the top grill.

Excellent bit of kit with a perfect fit for only $80.

It really tidys up the front end, Ford should have had one standard, cheap buggers.

Started it and drove it, filled it up with petrol - this is after spending the weekend ripping the LPG system out of the explorer an converting back to petrol (installed petrol tank, fuel rail, injectors etc). Pretty satisfying really.....

Installed a truetrac on Wednesday into the ute, Today had the dump pipe fixed after it cracked for the second time, waiting for the call to go and pick it up with the new xforce dump pipe that hopefully isnt going to crack again. One good thing is that Xforce are warranting their work and paying for labour and the replacement parts.

This was on the Central Arnhem road NT, waited about 2 hours till the 3rd car that came had a satellite phone (no phone service), called my mate, waited 2 hours for him to get to me. Then he towed me 2 hours back on the dirt road.

If I was anywhere else in the country I'd just get another engine to drop in, but here it'd take ages and cost heaps to freight one in. So I'll just have to push it out to the tip... sad really, lots of perfectly good stuff on it.

Anyone want any XH parts? Free, pick up only from Gapuwiak, NT!
don't tell me you tried the goyder in a falcon mate? haha

Installed new boot struts and applied some rust converter to some spots in the corners of the boot near where the struts attach. I just got the car two weeks ago(AU Fairmont) with hardly anything wrong with it but the boot leaks and there is the tiniest bit of rust starting to show in there. Should be an easy fix and I won't stop till it keeps bone dry. A leaky car is a disaster waiting to happen if neglected. Oh and replaced tail light loom as the brake light socket was broken.

Went to the exhaust shop this morning to finally track down this little leak / rattle.
turns out i have blown both of the cat honeycombs back within the cats, which is causing them to rattle.
