While everyone is on the Shark hating warpath at the moment.

Im being the devils advocate.
Saw this on Discovery last week, shows a different side to the deadly beasts.
Mike Rutzen, the show was called Sharkman, was really interesting.
Thats only s snippet of course, the whole program was really watchable.

The Genesis Sedan and Coupe, if sold here would severely steal sales from the competition.

They are that good. I had a taste of the Genesis sedan in Korea this year. Near silent interior, well sorted cabin, just an excellent all round car. Size, power, performance yet economical as well.

The Coupe, well the pictures I snapped at the airport look the goods IMO.

I'll upload the sedan pics as well.

The Genesis site is excellent as well. Talk about marketing....

Oh, and Genesis got car of the year 2009 for North America.

Who would have thought.....

Genesis Sedan:

Car of the year 2009 winner

The official site I think is very good. When I first looked at it last year the site went straight to the sedan. Its been marketed very well on that site (love the "performance test" dragging off the Porsche and Beemer to 100km/h).. Something Ford should have done with a site like www.fordfg.com.au

Cheers,

Jason

I was being sarcastic mate, christ. We always get the crap no one else wants. Eg: America gets Probe with 5.0 RWD and look at the version we got.

No worries, well there you go, didn't even know they made the Probe in RWD with a 5ltr.

You would wonder why they bothered with a FWD platform as well... would have cost many millions.

Um in which alternative reality does a RWD 5.0L Probe exist? Are you sure you're not confusing the fact that the Probe was originally earmarked to be the Mustang replacement befuddle you a bit there? If there was a 5.0L Probe it would have stolen sales from the Mustang. Or were you being sarcastic again? Mind you it would have been a good car!!

I'd definitley buy the coupe. Hell I'd be driving a V6 Tiburon now if it didn't have a reputaion as a girls car. Or maybe thats just me being twisted

Geez, that's a really nice looking coupe.

Well done to Hyundai.

Going off topic here but someone mentioned a 5.0L RWD Probe and it got me thinking of this car from a few years back...

The Focus RS8 with a 5L Cammer (420hp!!), apparently only got to a prototype stage but damn it sounds good !!

I checked out the Genesis sedan at the auto show. When you sit in it, if you didn't know what brand it was, you would swear it was German. Well done to the South Koreans on this one!

At about the time the VE came out I got to see a VY at a show parked next to a high end Hyundai and at that stage you could see clearly the build quality had allready surpased the Australian cars. They just keep getting better and better every year. Didn't expect them to do anything less really considering the companys heritage but it's good to see someone going forward at such a rapid rate

p.s that website got me excited :p and why would it be painted in "Bathurst Black" if it's not comming here ??
