Doesn't anyone else think it's just a troll/photoshop job? The "taped up front" just looks like sloppy MS Paint skillz.
I think someone has just taken '08 FG headlights and pasted it into that photo. |

There's a few forum members that are also ford employees, why don't you ask them if it's possible that someone was able to just take a mate into the assembly line and show them a brand new unreleased and quite shy 201x falcon?

Just to gently remind dearborn of just how much money and R&D they had to pour into the V6 ecoboost to match the I6T....

Nyet!
The Falcon in that pic (there was another Petroleum-coloured one too) probably no longer exists having been crashed into a concrete wall. But Australian Fords are in Dearborn frequently for a variety of reasons. I wonder what Ford enthusiasts in the US are going to think when we release a RWD sedan with a blown 5.0, with 6 speed manual option for between $40K-$45K US.

Hence why the Pontiac G8 sold poorly and why the 300C SRT8 has just been dumped. Large RWD V8 sedans seem to create a lot of interest with 16 year olds and motoring journalists, but unfortunately the market couldn't care less. Tis sad to see, but it's the reality. |

I think the US will say the same thing they always do; looks too soft, dated etc and probably still too expensive for them.

Its also got to with the US average fuel economy standards.
Something Falcon size has to have an average fuel economy of under 8L/100km, otherwise they have to pay a fine per car and per MPG over the limit.

The way Falcon has evolved with ecoboost makes it more relevant than ever. If they were allowed to make another generation from scratch, with lighter weight around this engine, it would be absolutely phenomenal! |

The 2014 Falcon FB guy in Tassie claims he's seen it and Ford Aus are shortly doing a big campaign someone claims, so it can't be far away now...maybe?

If the gtf is fh based it might launch next month unexpectedly.
That's a big if though.

I did say "that's a big if". I don't expect it to be but no one really knows what to expect on this car.

Ford sorely need to re-think the decision to terminate the global rear wheel drive program. If they think they can rebuild the Lincoln brand with front wheel drive/awd/suv's and re-skinned Ford products they may as well pull the plug like they did with Mercury. |
