Hey,
Looks great on the iPad I'm more for showing the take grunt as it's in a current car due to the extra eyes their ATM

Let me play with it tomorrow here's the mule but unless you see the video just looks like the other cars running around but look out for it on the road.

Also ...... refer to title of the thread to keep things on topic. It is actually about "2014 Falcon Sneek Peak" and not about the Commode or any other model. As I have stated before .... somewhere ..... lets give the LAST FALCON some limelight with out getting side tracked on how stupidly stupendous all the other cars are.

Focus on the FALCON ...... just for once on a Ford Forum?

I have a few things ready ATM but we have to drip things out so not to upset them too much.....

Hey spyman are you uploading your video to youtube from an iphone or ipad and its coming up with poor quality?

If so its because the older youtube app doesnt upload in HD.
Theres a free app in the app store called "720tube" that allows you to upload direct to youtube in HD quality and generally in under 5 mins for shorter vids.

Much better than having to stuff around uploading from a PC.

Id love to own this orange one, thats if they left the 351 tune in it.

Its defo a GT-F prototype, got the 6 pot brakes and all.

Would be the rarest FG of them all!

I try not to post in here too much to not waste peoples time on unrelated car talk. I just want Future FALCON chat.

To go back on topic - really do hope the next falcon goes out with decent glory. Not a whimper as ford America probably hopes it does. (lack of marketing/cutting models. Wagon/Fairlane / firing the Aussie boss /FPV buy back)

Ford may be conservative on the last falcon as it is a discontinued line and may want the replacement models to be a class above the Falcon. -So why try too hard?

Sad Falcon is discontinuing. But glad it does not mean every falcon allready purchased/ on the road cease to exist. - only makes them more special.

Do we know if the XR6 will get the FPV engine? I'm under the impression that once the F6 production winds up, that's it, no more engines being built, so the XR6 will remain at 270kw...

its only speculation ATM that the xr6t might get the f6 engine, but wouldn't be hard to put an xr6t engine upto f6 spec...just different turbo,injectors,intercooler and bit different tune....also seeing the trend of previous and current xr6t's and xr8's have carried over the old engines/power output from the fpv's, it would be a possibility

As I visit this page again I wonder what Ford is holding back from revealing. Sure put camouflage on an FG like we've already seen on the front and back and let us wonder about the extent of the interior/dash upgrade but apart from what's going to look like a U.S. Mondeo what's the big deal? Are there any secrets to hide from Hyundai or Toyota that will see buyers flock to Ford? Why not let the test cars drive around undisguised and most of the public will not even notice or care.

I think theyd be making a few more F6's too if the hardware was carrying over.

They might have been able to get more power from the small turbo, but it begs a couple of questions. Why did they bother keeping the big turbo to begin with then? Perhaps each turbo was better suited to each power band, and the small turbo is too innefficient at 310kw+ for Ford's standards. Of course there's also the cost to develop such a tune, which at this stage I think is out of the question when you consider dropping the big turbo package is probably driven by costs and simplifying the production, with only one V8 and one turbo 6 layout now. It also makes it easier for parts supply, where their 10 year commitments will run out in 2024 on the F6 parts and not 2026.

I'm only speculating, but a lot of Ford Aus's development team may have been sent to work on other more profitable jobs (ie Ranger, Escort) leaving a skeleton screw to finish off the Falcon.
