It's still getting worse just about everywhere else except the Oceania region but that doesn't mean we shouldn't care - human nature being what it is, of course, we won't pay it any mind until we cop it here again in the next round.

9 new cases for Australia and no deaths so CMR drops to 1.402% and active cases drop to 430 (5.9%).

No new cases or deaths for NZ so CMR is unchanged and active cases remain at zero.

The UK had just over 1k new cases and 245 deaths so the CMR is back up to 14.175%.

Just over 19k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,093 deaths sees CMR up to 5.58% and active cases down to 55.9% although the raw number of active cases is rising.

Other notable points:
Global new cases were the 2nd highest ever at 127,783;
The UK completes 6M tests and India 5M;
Africa passes 200k cases;
South America (44,092) and Asia (37,926) recorded new highs for daily cases;

Mali (81), Mauritania (121), Ivory Coast (186), Guatemala (447), Panama (656), Indonesia(1,240), Argentina(1,226),
Bangladesh(3,190), Saudi Arabia (3,7171), Pakistan (5,385), India (12,375) and Brazil (30,332), all recorded new daily highs, those in blue for the second consecutive day and those is red for a third or more consecutive days.

942 people died of the flu last year. Must have been a bad year, cause it was only 142 in 2018.

That's even worse - public transport to the venue, huge numbers of contacts at the protests, how many did they infect?

I'm sure those demonstrators would have Scomo's Covid 19 app on their phones so it will be easy to trace people.

They won’t, half are professional protesters, and I’ll let you guess what else they support / protest against.

That's a really interesting animation. I wonder though what that bar is between conflict and hepatitis.

Other points of interest. Alcohol kills more people than all other recreational drugs combined.

Suicide twice as many as homicide and more even than malaria!

According to medical abbreviations it is “gastrointestinal inferior disease”?

Amazing how scientists can track and trace virus to such detailed level. Every country should be doing this so that the spread can be mapped.

So whats the story now? China created the virus, that infects mainly people of colour, deliberate spread it around, so that certain individuals and companies in the US can get filthy rich?

ACT relaxing restrictions again next week with max 100 people while considering the distancing rules.

I said to the blokes at work a while back as soon as we can go back to the pubs, we need to get on the **** ASAP.

They were gobsmacked since I have dogged everything since I've been there.

I will put a pre-condition on it that you have to come back to work, not WFH though. I don't want fly ins.

No way I would survive if my boss was not there. It's so quiet when either of us are not there talking **** so I'm told
